Acceptable Use Policy

A short list, and none of it should be a surprise. The product is built not to invent anything about you — most of what follows is just asking you not to fight that.

Effective date: 09/01/2026

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Service. When you use AdaptiveResume, you agree not to do any of the following.

  1. Break the law. Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  2. Commit fraud with it. Do not attempt to make the Service fabricate credentials, licenses, degrees, or work history. Do not use it to build a resume for a false or stolen identity, and do not use its output in furtherance of employment, immigration, or benefits fraud. The product is designed not to invent anything; trying to defeat that design is a violation, not a workaround.
  3. Abuse the free and make-it-right surfaces. Do not automate or bulk-run the free scan or the demo, and do not use the make-it-right process to obtain the paid review and then request a refund outside the conditions set out in Section 6 of the Terms of Service.
  4. Attack or drain the Service. Do not probe, scan, or test its vulnerabilities except with our written permission, evade rate limits, scrape it, resell access to it, or build a competing dataset or model from its output.
  5. Upload what is not yours to give. Do not upload files you have no right to provide, including someone else's resume without their authority, and do not upload malware or content designed to disrupt processing. Use of the Service by or on behalf of an organization is governed by a separate written commercial agreement, not by these consumer terms.
  6. Misrepresent us. Do not imply that AdaptiveResume verified, endorsed, or guaranteed your credentials or your outcomes to any employer or to anyone else.
  7. Use our output to decide something about another person. Content generated by the Service is for the use of the person whose career history it describes. Do not use it, and do not give it to anyone else to use, as a basis for making a consequential decision about any individual, including any decision about employment or an employment opportunity, education, housing, lending or other financial services, insurance, health care, or government benefits. The Service does not screen, score, rank, or evaluate candidates, and it may not be used as though it did.

We may suspend or terminate an account for violating this policy, as described in Section 14 of the Terms of Service. To report abuse, or to send a copyright notice under Section 18 of the Terms of Service, write to support@adaptiveresume.com or to AdaptiveResume LLC, 8735 Dunwoody Place, Suite N, Atlanta, Georgia 30350.
